Abstract

In this lecture we review some recent experimental and theoretical investigations on the nonlinear optical properties of GaAs/A1X Ga1-X As Quantum Well Structures and on the use of these optical nonlinearities for the design and realization of the first few exploratory devices for alloptical signal processing.
