Abstract

We describe and analyze in situ ESR measurements of the electrochemical doping of cis-rich (CH)x with K. From the evolution of the peak-to-peak linewidth (ΔHpp ) versus the doping level y we suggest the existence of successive ordered phases during the doping and undoping processes. A simplified model of a pseudo-biphasic system (one phase is created while the other disappears) can explain qualitatively the variations of the linewidth during the doping and the undoping. We also discuss the hysteresis appearing at each cycle and the difference between the first cycle and the following cycles.
