Recent Investigations on Semiconductors in the 100 Tesla Range

Abstract

A review is presented of the recent investigations of semiconductor physics in very high magnetic fields up to a few megagauss. It includes magneto-opticals pectroscopy of excitons in AlGaAs-AlAs alloy quantum wells, anthracene and Bil3, cyclotron resonance in n- and p-type GaAs-AlGaAs superlattices and n-PbTe, and a magnetic field-induced SDW transition in an organic superconductor (TMTSF)2C104.
