Summary

The communication reports joint work by both authors which will be published at length elsewhere [1, 2], It concerns asymptotic studies of turbulent boundary layer flow. One part of the work [1] deals with model equations while the other part [2] deals with turbulence in boundary layers independently of any model and discusses what meaning may be given to turbulence in boundary layer when the thin layer structure is accounted for, asymptotically.
