Zusammenfassung
Betrachtet man die Entwicklung von Maschinen und Anlagen von ihrem ersten Einsatz bis zu den heute üblichen Bauformen, dann fällt neben dem Wandel bei der Werkstoffauswahl und der Gestaltung besonders die zunehmende Leistungsdichte auf. Die Leistungssteigerung bei gleichzeitiger Abnahme von Baugröße und Gewicht wurde zum einen durch höher belastbare Werkstoffe, zum anderen durch die lagerungstechnische Beherrschung höherer Drehzahlen ermöglicht. Diese Entwicklung ist auch bei Produkten deutlich, deren Lagerstellen der Forderung nach Wartungsfreiheit genügen müssen.
