Abstract
The most frequent interactions of plants with microorganisms are those of non-host plants with microorganisms which are either non-pathogenic to plants at all or pathogenic only to genetically corresponding cultivars of one or a few plant species. We are especially interested in the molecular mechanisms of non-host resistance reactions of plants and have chosen the interaction of parsley (Petroselinum crispum) with the potential soybean pathogen, Phytophthora megasperma f. sp. glycinea (Pmg) as a model system.
