Zusammenfassung
„Vermutlich etwa die Hälfte aller Schlaganfalle und ein Viertel aller Todesfalle infolge Koronarer Herzkrankheit bei Menschen unter 70 Jahren sind durch die Anwendung des verfügbaren Wissensstandes vermeidbar.“ So lautete die Schlußfolgerung des Berichts des Royal College of General Practitioners von 1981 zum Thema „Prävention von Gefäßleiden in der Allgemeinpraxis“.
