Methods and models appropriate for probabilistic risk assessment (PRA) in the nuclear fuel cycle field have been developed in the Federal Republic of Germany during the last years /1/. The effectiveness of these methods is demonstrated in probabilistic safety analyses of selected facilities of a model reprocessing plant.
