Zusammenfassung

Auf dem Gebiet der Benzodiazepine wurden in den letzten Jahren neue Konzepte zum Wirkungsmechanismus entwickelt. Insbesondere die Entwicklung von Benzodiazepinantagonisten hat neue Möglichkeiten der experimentellen Forschung eröffnet. Dieser Beitrag gibt eine kurze Übersicht über die Grundlagen des Wirkungsmechanismus der Benzodiazepine und der Benzodiazepinantagonisten. Im zweiten Teil wird die Anwendung des selektiven Benzodiazepinantagonisten Anexate zur Induktion von Entzugssymptomen bei Tieren beschrieben.
