Abstract
Although the main body of the quantum transport literature is concerned with electronic properties, the nonequilibrium phonon spectrum under hot electron and quantizing magnetic field conditions turns out to be most interesting. The scattering rate due to electron-phonon interactions being very much dependent on \( \overrightarrow q \) and \( \overrightarrow H \) one finds intriguing angular and frequency dependences of \( N\left( {\overrightarrow q ,\overrightarrow H } \right), \) the nonequilibrium phonon population.
