Zusammenfassung
Es wird über einige Erfahrungen berichtet, die beim praktischen Einsatz von Bürokommunikationssystemen gesammelt worden sind. Der Bericht behandelt nur Systeme zur Textkommunikation, also Systeme zum Austausch von Nachrichten in schriftlicher Form. Betrachtet werden fortgeschrittene Systeme, die nicht nur ein einfaches Postverteilungssystem, sondern darüberhinausgehende Leistungen wie gute Texteditoren, leistungsstarke Archive, Unterstützung von Konferenzen usw. anbieten. Der Bericht stützt sich nicht nur auf Literatur, sondern auch auf eigene persönliche Erfahrungen. Die GMD verwendet seit über einem Jahr das System KOMEX, das in der GMD selbst entwickelt worden ist (vgl. Pankoke-Babatz 1983). KOMEX wird gegenwärtig von rund 100 Mitarbeitern regelmäßig und aktiv für einen Teil der innerbetrieblichen Kommunikation genutzt. Alle Vorstandsmitglieder der GMD und viele Instituts und Abteilungsleiter sind an dem Versuch beteiligt. Im Monat werden zur Zeit rund 2.500 Nachrichten über das System ausgetauscht.
