Part of the book series: Handbook of Experimental Pharmacology ((HEP,volume 64))

Abstract

The subjects of this chapter include the major infectious diseases for which sulfonamides, trimethoprim, or the combination have a major role in the treatment of children with infectious diseases. Although many of these topics will have been discussed in other chapters, their special uses in children are emphasized here.
