Abstract
Few reports on the relationships between prostaglandins (PGs) and exercise have been published, although PGs may participate in many physiological events during and after physical stress. Adrenergic beta blocking drugs also affect the prostaglandin system, and patients treated with these drugs are often exposed to stress. We describe the effect of submaximal physical exercise on PGs, and the ability of different types of beta blocking drugs to modify these responses.
