In dem hier behandelten Beispiel eines Röstereibetriebes sind ohne Betrachtung der Schnittstellen (Wareneingang, Warenausgang) zwei unterschiedliche Fördergutströme vorhanden:

der Schüttgutstrom von Roh- und Röstkaffee (Volumenstrom in m3/h, Massenstrom in t/h),
-
der Stückgutstrom von abgepacktem Röstkaffee in Paket- oder Palettenform (Stückstrom in Stck/h bzw. in Pal/h).
