Abstract
Proteins for binding, such as albumin, testosterone-estradiol-binding globulin (TEBG), and corticosteroid-binding globulin (CBG) are present in amniotic fluid [294]. The results of the measurements of the free fractions of the steroids were obtained by equilibrium dialysis, and the specific protein-bound fraction was calculated by the specific displacement with the charcoal absorption technique in pregnancies at 14–18 weeks of gestation [294]. The results are listed in Table 98.
