Prostate Cancer

Abstract

Prostatic carcinoma is by no means a homogeneous histopathological entity, and though more than 90% of the tumours arise from the acini there are less common forms, such as the ductal tumours, and a few much rarer types, including mucinous and carcinoid tumours, which are important because they can be difficult to diagnose and treat. Infiltration of the prostate by a urothelial carcinoma may cause similar problems.
