We cannot attempt here a comprehensive summary of all the papers relevant to creep crack growth which have been presented at this interesting meeting. Instead we shall only try to draw attention to what appear to us to be some of the more important recent developments in our understanding of how to approach the subject, with apologies in advance to those authors whose useful contributions here will thereby go for the moment unmentioned.
