NMR of Polycrystalline NaUF6

Abstract

NMR of polycrystalline NaUF6 was used to study the cubic to rhombohedral transition and some properties of the unpaired electron. The transition occurs with a hyster­esis of 26° centered at 297K. The electron relaxation is relatively slow providing an extremely efficient relaxation mechanism for fluorine.
