Mössbauer Spectrum of Optically Excited Semiconductors

Abstract

The influence of light emission on the parameters of Mössbauer spectra of photoconductive single crystals was investigated. Experiments showed that the optical excitation leads to an increase of quadrupole splitting and decreases Mössbauer shift, i.e. the electron density and symmetry of electric field on the Mössbauer nucleus are changed due to the emission of light.
