Invasion of the Upper Respiratory and Digestive Tract in Adult Lymphoid Neoplasias

  • Chapter
Lymphoid Neoplasias II

Part of the book series: Recent Results in Cancer Research ((RECENTCANCER,volume 65))

Abstract

For many years, non-Hodgkin ’s malignant lymphomas (NHML) of the upper respiratory and digestive tract (URDT) were treated and followed up only by radiotherapists and ENT specialists, when they were confined to the head and neck. Concerted studies on these patients during the last 15 years have yielded a better analysis of the results obtained by a locoregional irradiation and led to a better approach to the treatment.
