Experimental and Clinical Results of Chemotherapy after Partial Synchronization of Cell Proliferation

  • Chapter
The Ambivalence of Cytostatic Therapy

Part of the book series: Recent Results in Cancer Research ((RECENTCANCER,volume 52))

Abstract

The planning of cytostatic treatment of malignant diseases should be based on precise knowledge of the mechanism of action and the pharmacokinetics of cytostatic drugs as well as of the proliferation kinetics of tumor cells. These conclusions are drawn from the investigations of SKIPPER and his co-workers (14).
