Abstract

With the increase in industrialization and power generation, the construction of tall reinforced concrete chimneys has become popular in India. The materials used in the construction of a chimney are concrete, reinforcing steel and refractory bricks. Any saving in the quantity of these materials used would result in the reduction of the cost of a chimney.
