Abstract
Tumor-specific antigens are detectable only in malignant tumors and not in adult tissue under normal conditions. Many such antigens have been found in experimental tumors. One can say that practically every experimental tumor which was examined carefully enough was shown to contain these antigens. In the rare cases when such antigens were not found, one can always say that the search was not thorough enough. The search for such antigens in human tumors in recent years has produced evidence that human tumors also contain such antigens.
