Zusammenfassung
Die postoperative Harninkontinenz ist eine sehr unangenehme Komplikation, die sowohl nach radikaler als auch nach einfacher Prostatektomie vorkommen kann, meistens jedoch nach Elektroresektion der Prostata auftritt. Die Patienten verlieren dabei Tag und Nacht Urin. Das gehäufte Vorkommen von Harninkontinenz nach Elektroresektion ist damit zu erklären, daß dies die meist geübte Form der Prostataoperation ist. Man findet daher eine große Anzahl von Fällen mit dauernder Harninkontinenz als Folge der Entfernung von zu viel Gewebe aus dem Bereich des Apex der Prostata.
