Mechanism of Interaction between Arginase and Ornithine Transcarbamoyl Transferase of Saccharomyces cerevisiae

Abstract

The study of arginine metabolism in Saccharomyces cerevisiae has revealed a type of regulatory mechanism which we shall call epienzymatic regulation. It implies a stoechiometric and reversible binding between enzymes, which is under the control of metabolites.
