Part of the book series: Lecture Notes in Economics and Mathematical Systems ((LNE,volume 66))

Abstract

This part of the report is a users manual for our transonic airfoil programs and is essentially independent of the theory presented in Part I. By studying this manual it should be possible to learn how to operate the design and analysis programs even with only a limited understanding of the mathematical content. We intend to make the basic method available to those interested in designing transonic airfoils but unwilling to spend the time required to understand the complicated numerical analysis needed to solve the partial differential equations of gas dynamics.
