Summary
In infantile female guinea pigs repeated injections of a thymus extract were followed by a noticeable delay of the first oestrus and a lenghtening of the ovarian cycles. In hypophysectomized female rats additional thymectomy was followed by increased sensitivity of the ovary to hypophyseal gonadotropin. This could be suppressed by injections of the presumably pure thymic hormone.
