Zusammenfassung
Alles Lebendige existiert in einer rauhen Umwelt und erleidet ständig exogene Schäden, die wir, sobald eineplötzlichekleine oder größere Gewebszerstörung bzw. -trennung damit verbunden ist, als Wunde definieren. Die Verbindung von Zellen bei Mehrzellrn geschieht durch bemerkenswert wenige Kittsubstanzen - dies gilt auch für die Wiederherstellung von Zellverbindungen bei der Wundheilung: Bei Pflanzen handelt es sich überwiegend um Zellulosen; bei Wirbellosen um Chitine und Proteoglykane und bei Wirbeltieren um Kollagene und Proteoglykane (Mukopolysaccharide = MPS). Das Bauprinzip aller Gewebe ist also einfach (Abb. 1).
