Zusammenfassung
Die chemische Zusammensetzung des Kammerwassers ist für den Stoffaustausch im vorderen Augenabschnitt, einem biologisch offenen System, von großer Wichtigkeit (Hockwin et al. 1978a; Hockwin u. Koch 1978). Veränderungen in der Qualität des Kammerwassers müssen deshalb Auswirkungen auf die biochemischen Gleichgewichte der an diesem biologisch offenen System beteiligten Gewebe haben (Hockwin u. Salminen 1977; S. 169). Die Linse ist ein Partner am Stoffaustausch mit dem Kammerwasser. Über die Wechselbeziehung von Kam- merwasserzusammensetzung und Linsenstoffwechsel und den sich daraus ergebenden klinischen Konsequenzen soll hier berichtet werden.
