Abstract

Nanocrystalline phase formation in amorphous Fe-Cu-Nb-Si-B alloys has been studied using DSC and X-ray diffraction methods. Effect of varying Si and Nb concentration on the crystallization behavior as well as on the grain size has been studied. Variation in the lattice parameter with amount of crystallization shows the effect of stresses produced by the amorphous matrix on the nanocrystalline grains.
