Zusammenfassung

Tissue Factor Pathway Inhibitor (TFPI) und Antithrombin sind natürliche Hemmstoffe von Faktor Xa und TF/Faktor-VIIa-Komplex. Dabei kommt es zur Hemmung des Faktors Xa und im nächsten Schritt im Komplex mit diesem, zur Inhibiton des aktivierten Faktors VII. So ist TFPI zusammen mit Faktor Xa, VIIa und Thromboplastin (= „tissue factor“) endogener Inhibitor der extrinsischen Gerinnungskaskade und verlängert im Plasma die Gerinnungszeit.
