Zusammenfassung
Die sachgemäße Durchführung von Regionalanästhesien stellt für viele operative Eingriffe ein sicheres Betäubungsverfahren dar, welches als alleinige Methode oder in Kombination mit einer Allgemeinanästhesie genutzt wird. Neben einem sicheren Umgang mit den einzelnen Techniken der Regionalanästhesie ist es insbesondere erforderlich, Wirkeigenschaften und Komplikationsmöglichkeiten der unterschiedlichen Lokalanästhetika zu kennen, um entsprechende Gefahren vom Patienten abwenden zu können.
