Abstract
Automated fragment analysis with ABI Sequencer using the internal standard GS2500 or GS500 gives sufficient reproducibility to allow typing of regular tetrameric STR’s. It is, however, a general experience that it does not allow fool-proof typing of alleles differing in size by one basepair only.
