Abstract
Medical care, supervision, and counseling are just as important under FIT as in the long-term care of type I insulin-dependent diabetic patients under any type of therapy regime. The cooperation between patient and doctor is especially important in determining the longterm success in achieving good metabolic control (and thus in preventing late complications).
