Zusammenfassung

Die konventionelle Radiologie (Übersichtsaufnahme, perorale Cholezystographie, intravenöse Cholangiographie) hat in den letzten Jahren zunehmend an Bedeutung verloren; an ihre Stelle ist insbesondere die Sonographie getreten. Diese ist anspruchsvoll: sie umfaßt die morphologische Beurteilung des Leberparenchyms, der intra- und extrahepatischen Gallenwege einschließlich der Gallenblase sowie aller Lebergefäße; letztere werden zudem dopplersonographisch evaluiert bezüglich Flußmuster und -richtung. Die portale Hypertension, Vorabklärung und Nachkontrollen bei lebertransplantierten Kindern sowie andere vaskuläre Erkrankungen werden auf diese Weise auch dynamisch beurteilt. Im übrigen ist die Doppleruntersuchung gerade beim kleinen Kind hilfreich, vaskuläre Strukturen von den Gallengängen zu unterscheiden. Zu einer umfassenden Ultraschalluntersuchung der Leber gehört auch die Mitbeurteilung von Milz, Pankreas und der peritonealen Kompartimente.
