Abstract
The Center for Technology Education Holon (CTEH) has established in 1994 a new and innovated Teaching Laboratory for the Electrical and Electronic (TLEE) subjects. The main reason which led to this specific TLEE is our philosophy that we have to conduct, both theoretical and experimental lessons, in the same environment, whenever we are looking for meaningful teaching, of pre-service students, the following methodology subjects: Electrical; Electronics; Control; Robotics. In order to achieve this goal we equipped the TLEE with: 486DX computers (connected via the Novell network); video camera; VTR, TV, Instructional Learning Units (in: Computer Vision; Computerized Process Control; Computer Analysis and Simulation; Robotics; Microprocessor); Measuring instruments (Scope; DVM, Function Generator; Power Supply; Matrix Board); A powerful LCD overhead display; Multimedia accessories; Internet connection; High speed modem.
According to the mentioned philosophy, the methodology lecturer (with about 30 students), the students while giving their ‘lessons’ and their instructional teachers (with 16 students in each of the instructional groups), all of them are teaching and using the mentioned facilities of the TLEE.
