Antioxidants: Molecular Interactions Between Vitamins E And C, Biothiols and Carotenes

Abstract

Antioxidants are coming under increasing scrutiny as preventive and ameliorative agents in a number of chronic degenerative conditions that have an oxidative component. A great deal of epidemiological and clinical evidence suggests that vitamin E and beta-carotene, in particular, may be beneficial.
