Optimal Design of Laminated Composite Pressure Vessels with Flat and Hemispherical End-caps for Maximum Buckling Pressure
Structures made of composite materials have found many applications due to their high strength and stiffness to weight ratio. A potential application of laminated composites is in submarine hull construction. These are subjected to compressive pressures, and consequently may fail by buckling.
