Zusammenfassung
1990 wurden 8 Hämophilie B-Patienten durch ein Faktor IX-Präparat mit HIV-1 infiziert [1]. Die Homogenität der infizierenden Viruspopulation wurde dadurch nachgewiesen, daß die Sequenzanalyse (pro) viraler Strukturgene (env: V1/2, V3) eine sehr geringe Variabilität zwischen den Sequenzen der verschiedenen Patienten zeigte [2]. Außerdem konnte die Einheitlichkeit der Infektionsquelle durch Stammbaumanalyse des viralen p17-Gens, das als epidemiologischer Marker gilt, bestätigt werden. Dieser Vorfall eröffnete die einzigartige Möglichkeit zu untersuchen, in welchem Ausmaß sich eine homogene Viruspopulation in verschiedenen Patienten weiterentwickelt und inwieweit sich dies auf den Krankheitsverlauf auswirkt.
