Preparation of Buffers

Abstract

In general, buffers are made up according to two methods:
  1. a)

    mix a dissolved solution of buffer and adjust the pH by titrating with a strong counterion,

     
  2. b)

    mix a solution of buffer from 10 x concentrated stock solutions.
