Abstract
While I do not assume the student has much familiarity with Maple, some previous experience based on introductory texts [CG+93, EJ+92, He93, Ba94] or reference books [BM94, Re93] is extremely helpful. In this introductory chapter I discuss the one-dimensional Schrödinger equation in the coordinate space representation. I begin with this topic to permit the non-expert of Maple to make some first steps.
