Abstract
Four cases of death from acute hydrogen sulphide poisoning are described, that occurred during work outdoors. Under a shed roof, the sulphur from accumulated material, in contact with free water, started an exothermic reaction, with progressive development, of hydrogen sulphide. Three workers died immediately, and one helper.
