Environmental Health and Ecotoxicology: An Indispensable Link

  • Conference paper
Evaluating and Monitoring the Health of Large-Scale Ecosystems

Part of the book series: NATO ASI Series ((ASII,volume 28))

Abstract

Well-being and increased life expectancy are to a great extent due to the progress of science and the modern technologies, in particular chemistry. At the same time, this progress is responsible for a number of new health problems, not only among workers in industry but also, and more seriously, in the population at large.
