Zusammenfassung

Das primäre Vaginalkarzinom ist selten und umfaßt etwa 1–2% aller Neoplasmen des weiblichen Genitale (Nori et al. 1983), in einigen Bereichen auch bis knapp 3% (Kucera et al. 1977). In einer Sammelstatistik von 85 461 Genitaltumoren fanden sich 1777 Fälle mit Vaginalkarzinom entsprechend einer Häufigkeit von 2,08% (Plentl u. Friedman 1971). Auf 31 Zervixkarzinome kommt jeweils 1 Vaginalkarzinom (Annual Report 1982).
