Zusammenfassung
Die aseptische Lockerung von Totalendoprothesen des Hüftgelenkes ist langfristig die wichtigste Ursache für Mißerfolge und stellt die orthopädischen Chirurgen vor erhebliche Rekonstruktionsprobleme [15]. Nach Sutherland [19] und Morscher und Schmassmann [13] ist bekannt, daß die Häufigkeit von Lockerungen der Femurkomponente nach einer geometrischen Funktion ansteigt, während die Lockerung der Acetabulumkomponente nach einer Exponentialfunktion zunimmt, bei der die Kurve nach 7 Jahren einen starken Anstieg zeigt. Daher interessierten sich die orthopädischen Chirurgen schon sehr früh für ersetzbare Prothesen, bei denen auf Zement, dessen langfristige Festigkeit in Frage gestellt wird, verzichtet werden kann.
