Abstract

The obstruction of the main pancreatic duct with the secondary upstream dilatation and hypertension is considered a relevant cause of pain in with patients chronic pancreatitis (CP) [1]. The relief of pain, which can be achieved by decompressing the main pancreatic duct (MPD), is the main scope of endoscopic therapy of CP.
