Abstract

The pyrimidyloxy salicylic acids and related derivatives represent a new class of compounds which inhibit the enzyme acetolactate synthase in plants. These highly active compounds control a large number of troublesome weeds and can be applied pre- or post emergent. In this new class of herbicidal compounds there are at present three development products — KIH-2031, KIH-6127, KIH-2023.
