At Van Leeuwen Buizen, a design has been made for a cassette system, for automatic order-picking of tubes, strapping and loading of trucks. This system combines a number of known subsystems completed with new elements. The control of the system is new as well. In order to investigate the performance, the system has been simulated. It appears that the picking capacity of only one system is sufficient, but for the loading of trucks, two systems are needed.
