Abstract
Steady solitary waves were revealed experimentally in a region of strong nonlinearity and dispersion in a liquid containing gas bubbles. They form at some fixed point of the medium from short initial high-amplitude disturbances. Upon interaction between solitons and the bubble medium, the bubbles change their size by an order of magnitude. Such solitons may be described only within the framework of the system of equations taking into account all the nonlinearities of the gas-liquid medium.
