Folgen der langstreckigen Laminektomie an der HWS

Zusammenfassung

Schon im Jahr 1928 berichtet der berühmte französische Orthopäde Leriche über die „ärgerlichen Folgen der Laminektomie an der HWS auf die Statik der Wirbelsäule“ [10]. Seither haben sich die Mitteilungen über Instabilitäten und Kyphosierungen infolge langstreckiger Laminektomien an der Halswirbelsäule gehäuft [2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 18, 19]. Dennoch behält das Thema eine gewisse Aktualität, da weiterhin bei entsprechender Indikation [1, 3, 7, 8, 11, 12, 14, 16, 17] eine Laminektomie an der HWS durchgeführt wird. Die Spätfolgen bezüglich der Wirbelsäulenstellung werden jedoch nur selten von den Operateuren selbst beobachtet. Drohende Instabilitäten werden in erster Linie in den Rehabilitationszentren manifest, wo sie entsprechend frühzeitig erkannt und behandelt werden müssen.
